Big News: Alex’s Team Foundation + WeGotThis.org Are Teaming Up – ATF Pledges $25,000 to Deepen Our Impact Nationwide

We’re proud to officially announce a powerful new partnership between Alex’s Team Foundation and WeGotThis.org—uniting our missions to make a deeper, coast-to-coast impact for cancer thrivers, survivors, and the people who care for them.

WeGotThis.org empowers the cancer community to thrive, not just survive, by providing the first nonprofit universal gift registry, trusted recommendations, and essential resources—transforming the act of giving and receiving support throughout every cancer experience.

This mission strongly aligns with Alex’s Team Foundation’s commitment to improve the lives of children facing cancer by funding programs that ensure everyone involved in their care is fully equipped to fight alongside them. Alex’s Team invests in the people and programs that make compassionate, comprehensive care possiblebelieving that when patients, families, and care teams are supported, young people have the greatest chance to live life to the fullest. Both organizations share the belief that meaningful, personal support makes all the difference.

This collaboration is especially meaningful. Arianna, Executive Director of Alex’s Team and sister of Alex, and Elissa, CEO & Founder of WeGotThis.org, were lacrosse teammates in high school—and have now come full circle to team up in support of families across the country fighting cancer

Alex’s Team proudly supported the 4th annual WeGotThis.org Golf Tournament in Andover, MA, the hometown of both Elissa and Alex. The event brought community and cause together for a meaningful celebration in the place where this journey began.

To double the impact, Alex’s Team pledged a $25,000 dollar-for-dollar match to the funds raised at the tournament—fueling expanded programming and support initiatives across both organizations nationwide.

Kieran and Marissa the Champions!

One of the most meaningful moments came when we surprised 5-year-old Kieran Whall, a Canton, MA native and Boston Children’s Hospital patient who just completed treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia—the same cancer Alex bravely fought. Alongside Kieran, we honored his nurse, Marissa Thomas, a devoted pediatric oncology nurse at Children’s and longtime supporter of Alex’s Team. Both received custom championship belts from TrophySmack in a joyful celebration of their courage, strength, and compassion.

These are the moments that define our work: spreading joy, delivering direct support, and uplifting everyone impacted by cancer—from patients and families to caregivers and healthcare heroes.

This is only the beginning.

We’re growing our reach and deepening our mission—together. Whether in hospitals, hometowns, or across the country, we’re here to stand beside the cancer community.

Together, We Got This.
